Prologue

Changes in Latitudes…Changes in Attitudes

OK, I am an avid Jimmy Buffett fan! With the world as crazy as it has become and because life is just too short, a vacation is becoming more than just time you need to use up from work or lose it. Work is going to be there when you return. There really is no escaping this unfortunate fact of life. A vacation is the best way to re-connect with family and friends.

Because you work hard to earn a living, have traveled far to spend your money and have precious little time to grow the important bonds that make your life the gift that it is, finding the right way to share fun, relaxation and love is very important. To Anita and I, Forest Haus creates that opportunity. If you choose to be a guest in Forest Haus, you won't be renting a house, you'll be living a vacation!

Can a vacation change your life?? I'm sure it has for some. We think Forest Haus is the right venue. Now it's up to you…

A calypso poet once wrote: “I bought a cheap watch from the crazy man floating down canal. It doesn’t use numbers or moving hands, it always just says now. You may be thinking that I was just had, but this watch is never wrong. And if I have trouble the warranty says…breathe in, breathe out, move on. According to my watch the time is now. The past is dead and gone. Don’t try to shake it, just nod your head…and breathe in, breathe out, move on”

Picture looking west from our property. Our home is on a mountain, not in a valley. Breckenridge is directly below us.

April "snowers" bring May flowers. Sorry, I'm not a great poet. View from below our home looking at the back side. An older photo, but irreplaceable… Our first dog is in this picture (circa early 90s).
